Check in time starts at 3 pm and Check out time is at 11am. The property housekeeper can greet you and help with your luggage. Please let us know if you would rather do self check in, in which case we will leave the side door unlocked with the keys inside. For checkout you can do the same and leave the side door unlocked with keys on the inside part. Please let us know if you are leaving early. :)
GASOLINE
The closest gas station is the JSM station in Huacas, about a 20 minute drive away.
GROCERIES
La Muralla:
Only 2 minutes driving is La Muralla, a large supermarket with lots of variety of brands and products. Large liquor selection. It also sells some beach gear, sunglasses, sun lotion, etc.
MerKdo:
A 5 minute drive away is MerKdo, which offers a variety of national and international brands as well as a good selection of meats, dairy, fruits and veggies.
Super Massai:
About 15 minutes away is Massai, which is a slightly larger version of MerKdo with more variety.
Auto Mercado:
About 35 minutes away right at the entrance of Tamarindo is Auto Mercado, which is comparable to what a Costa Rican version of a Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s type market would be. It is a bit of a drive but worth it if your want the biggest variety in products, alcohol selection, produce, fish, meats! CLICK

HOUSEKEEPING
Housekeeping is available every other day during your stay and is included with your rental, including both bathrooms, make beds (optional change sheets), wash dishes, provide fresh linens and do laundry. Usually cleaning takes between1 - 2 hours depending how deep of a cleaning you prefer!

MAIL AND PACKAGES
It is possible to have incoming and outgoing packages and mail. Liberty Express in Tamarindo will create an account for you and let you know the available options in timing and pricing. They can also deliver your packages straight to the bungalow.

PARKING
The parking area is right after the bungalow in a big empty sandlot. There is plenty of space for several cars however please note it is all on sand so a 4x4 vehicle is a must. You have to drive on the sand on the beach to reach parking - driving on the beach is reserved for residents and emergency vehicles so occasionally there is a sign stating this. If the sign is in the way you can 100% move it to be able to get through because you are in a residential rental and have the right to park in the property. Once in the sandlot please park near the bungalow and either walk through the plants on the side or go around the front to the brown gate. If you do not have a 4x4 you can park at the entrance of the beach in the public parking area and walk 4 minutes on the beach road the bungalow.
PARTIES/EVENTS/OUTSIDE GUESTS
Absolutely no parties or events allowed at the bungalow. If you wish to invite someone to hang out it MUST be communicated in written and agreed upon. Failure to announce unauthorized guests on the property is breaking house rules and you be asked to leave.
PETS
Pets are a part of the family and it is great when you can travel with your furry babies! One small pet per visit is welcome at the bungalow, however there are a few things to keep in mind. You will be located right on the beach! This means your little guy or girl can wander off alone onto the beach if he/she has wandering tendencies. Notably most people keep their dogs off leash on the beach so make sure your guy knows how to play nice with other pets and people.
Several animals live on the property who love making new friends, human and animal alike!
Guapo and Firu the house dogs reside at the property 24/7. They are very sweet and love head scratches. They have all of their shots up to date and are fed and taken care of at the pink house next door. You are not responsible for them but if you feel like treating them to a snack they love ham or turkey slices, chicken (no bones please) and pretty much all meats. Both of them are also a big fan of milk, though not too much please! As with all dogs please do not feed them anything containing onions, garlic, avocado, chocolates, grapes or raisins as these are all toxic foods for our furry pals!
Pinky and Cleo are the property kittens. They are 4 year old sisters who are also up to date with all their shots and are fed and taken care of at the pink house. You can tell them apart because Pinky has a pink nose and Cleo has a black nose. Pinky likes gentle belly rubs and hanging out on the deck outside. Cleo is very curious and adventurous. Both are a bit shy at first but a treat (ham, milk, eggs) will make them stay and be your best friends.
PHARMACY
The closest pharmacy located 5 minutes away above MerKdo food market. Open Mon - Sat from 9 am - 7pm. Sunday open 9 am - 6 pm. Delivery available to bungalow!

PRIVATE CHEF
Filo Experience offers a high end culinary experience prepared at the bungalow by chef David. You can order a single meal to be prepared at the bungalow or all three meals and snacks. There is also a mixologist available who will come prepare your drinks all night! All dishes can be prepared according to your food allergies or restrictions such as vegan or gluten free. If you plan on arriving without a car and would like to rent one for a day or two while at the bungalow there are several agencies in Flamingo such as Economy Rent A Car that will pick you up to take you to their office 15 minutes away to fill out the paper work. If you plan on staying local but want some wheels, golf cart rentals are available with drop off at the bungalow.

SAFE
A laptop size safe is located inside the bottom shelf of the dresser upstairs. The default code is 0000. If you would like to change the code please open the safe and remove the battery lid. There is a red button you press for about 3 seconds and it will make a beeping sound. Once it beeps put in your desired 4 digit code and press enter. You have now changed the code!
SPA
Wake Day Spa at Las Catalinas is only 10 minutes away and offers an array of treatments to pamper yourself. Some services are available directly at the bungalow.

TRASH
Ping us anytime to have her throw your trash out. If you’d like to take it out yourself there are big public trash cans at the entrance of the beach by the big tree where the sand starts, you can throw your trash bags into these bins any day of the week.
TV
Both TV’s upstairs and downstairs have cable channels as well as Netflix and Amazon Prime. Please sign into your own Netflix/Prime accounts and sign out when checking out. Most but not all channels have english and spanish audio options, which can be changed with the remote control under settings then audio then advanced to switch between Mono and SAP.
UMBRELLA
The huge umbrella on the side deck is a cantilever umbrella. If you need a quick tutorial CLICK here. To open and close the umbrella face the pedal towards the white fan on the corner so it doesn’t snag on any corners. If you need help we’re happy to open and close it for you!
WATER
The tap water is safe to drink, bathe and cook with. A complimentary 18 Liter jug of water is provided at the bungalow for guests who prefer drinking bottled water. We will refill the jug once its empty, just let us know! The water pump is charged by USB and usually last around a week. Should the pump run out of battery during your stay please let me or Estebana know in order to replace it with a fully charged pump or use the speaker cable on the ladder shelf by the entrance to charge.
